• Deli Clerk – The Deli Clerk is responsible for slicing and weighing meats and cheeses for customers. As a Deli Clerk, you can expect to make between $9 and $11 per hour.
• Pizza Team Member – The Pizza Team Member is responsible for making pizzas and delivering tasty items to customers. As a Pizza Team Member, you can expect to make between $9 and $13 per hour.

Cashier

The Cashier is responsible for helping customers check out. The cashier will bag grocery items for customers and ring up sales. He or she will be responsible for all monetary exchanges.

The Cashier will greet customers with a friendly attitude and provide constant communication. In this role, the Cashier will also suggest carryout assistance for the customer.

Deli Clerk

The Deli Clerk is responsible for helping customers choose the right meats and cheese. He or she will slice and weigh the products that the customer desires.

The Deli Clerk is also responsible for ensuring food quality and maintaining the deli counter so that it is free from debris.

Pizza Team Member

The Pizza Team Member is responsible for serving up the best pizza. You will work with other team members to ensure that all pizzas are fresh and made to the customers’ liking.

In this role, the Pizza Team Member will help customers choose their toppings and fulfill all customer orders in a timely manner. You will also visually inspect pizzas to verify they meet the Wegmans’ standards.

Cake Decorator

The Cake Decorator is responsible for taking custom cake orders from customers. He or she will decorate the cake in accordance with Wegmans’ policies and customer instruction.

In this role, you will fill, frost, and decorate cakes and other sweet treats. You will always provide the customer service and ensure your work area is clean at all times.

Food Demo Specialist

The Food Demo Specialist is responsible for prepping and cooking foods for customers to sample throughout the store. He or she will keep their demo area clean and explain the cooking process to customers who ask.

In this role, you will also promote the products and encourage customers to purchase the products you are cooking as well.

Meat Team Member

The Meat Team Member is responsible for providing quality customer service in the meat section of the store. He or she will help customers find the meats they are looking for and also arrange to have fresh meat cut when needed.

In addition, you will be responsible for locating products, cutting the meat, weighing meat, and packaging the products for customers.

Sub Shop

The Sub Shop team member is responsible for taking customers’ sub orders and creating a freshly made sandwich with the best ingredients.

In addition to making subs, the Sub Shop team member will complete tasks throughout the area including wrapping chicken, baking cookies, breads, and treats, and packaging salads, wraps, and to-go sandwiches.

Dairy Customer Service

The Dairy Customer Service team members will keep the dairy section clean, organized, and stocked at all times. He or she will keep an eye on the milk, eggs, yogurt, cheese, and more to ensure that all products are fully stocked.

In this role, the Dairy Customer Service team member will help unload boxes when shipments come in and ensure that all cold products make it to the coolers to minimize food spoilage.

Pharmacy Tech

The Pharmacy Tech is responsible for fulfilling customers’ prescriptions. He or she will provide quality customer service while also answering any questions the customers have.

The Pharmacy Tech will always double and triple check customer information to ensure the customer is receiving the correct product. In addition, the Pharmacy Tech will maintain the pharmacy area and make product recommendations for inquiring customers.

Baker

The Baker is responsible for baking delicious foods for customers to purchase. You will be responsible for making and baking breads, sweet treats, cakes, and similar.

In this role, you will take orders from customers and custom make their delicious treats. Customer service is key in this role and you will be responsible for maintaining a clean work area.

Team Leader

The Team Leader is responsible for encouraging other team members to meet goals set in their department. Each Team Leader will be assigned a specific area such as the dairy or meat department and similar.

The Team Leader should understand all of Wegmans’ policies and procedures and he or she will lead by example.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for providing support to the Store Manager. He or she will oversee employees and ensure that all of the Wegmans’ policies are being followed.

Store Manager

The Store Manager oversees all operation of the store and ensures that all policies are followed. He or she will handle payroll for employees, manage the store’s financials, and lead by example.

The Store Manager will also recruit, hire, and train employees to work in different roles throughout the company. The Store Manager needs to make sure that employees are working to their highest potential and helping the store reach its goals.
