How to Apply for Employment at Subway
To apply for a position at Subway, the most commonly used method is through their online application portal called My Subway Career.
Application Information
- Minimum Age Requirement: The minimum age for employment at Subway is 16.
- Hours of Operation: Subway’s hours of operation vary from store to store, but they are typically open Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Searching for an Open Position
To search for an open position, you will need to visit My Subway Career. From here, you will enter in your country location.
You can now browse through all of the job descriptions or you can proceed to apply for a position by clicking the “apply now” button.
Once you click the “apply now” button, you will be taken to section where you will search for a position based on your location.
Once you enter in your location and click search, you will then need to press “show stores” under the location name. A list of all stores in the area will be displayed.

To apply for a position, click the box next to the store or stores of your choosing and click “apply now.”
You will be taken right to the application and you can will be asked to enter in your personal information first.
The second step involves a small questionnaire that will ask you if you have ever worked for Subway before, are you legally allowed to work, and what type of position you are seeking.
Next, you will fill out your availability, education information, and previous work experience.
The last section asks for you to add references and then you can sign and submit the application for consideration.
Application Tips
As you go through the Subway application, you may come across some questions you do not know how to answer. Below, we will go over some tips to help ensure you fill out your application completely without any skipped sections.
Be Flexible with Your Availability
When it comes to working in a retail food chain, you need to be flexible with your availability. For instance, if you are only available one or two nights a week, your application may be placed more towards the bottom of the list.

- Sandwich Artist – The Sandwich Artist is responsible for greeting all guests and creating their sandwiches according to their requests. As a Sandwich Artist, you can expect to make between $7 and $13 per hour.
- Sandwich Artist Pro – The Sandwich Artist Pro is responsible for delivering high quality satisfaction while providing customers with the best sandwiches. As a Sandwich Artist Pro, you can expect to make between $8 and $14 per hour.
- Assistant Manager – The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily functions in the store. He or she will also ensure the highest level of food quality in the shop. As an Assistant Manager, you can expect to make between $8 and $13 per hour.
